Selective migration modules
Selective migration lets users choose which resource categories to move.
What selective migration means
You choose which modules to include for each job. You must select at least one module.
Database module
Migrates supported schema and rows from source to destination.
Auth users module
Migrates auth users to the destination without overwriting existing users.
Storage module
Copies buckets and files to the destination project.
When to migrate only one module
- Testing a specific module against a fresh destination.
- Moving only storage while leaving the database untouched.
- Migrating auth users into a project that already has schema in place.
How selection affects rollback
Only modules you migrated can be rolled back. Skipped modules never created destination items, so there is nothing to reverse.
Recommended testing approach
Start with a single module on a test project. Once comfortable, combine modules as needed.
